Koniec ery Pixela jako jedynego wyboru

SO BUMMED to learn that the Motorola GrapheneOS phones won't come in a budget hardware option. I broke my long-standing $150 cap on cell phone hardware (because seriously how did we all allow cell phones to become $1K+ purchases, be SERIOUS) to get my $400 Pixel 8a so I could put GrapheneOS on it, but no way can I pay four figures for a goddamn cell phone. $400 is already an insane amount of money to spend on a phone! So once they stop supporting my Pixel, I'll have to switch to one of the other privacy-forward phones. 😭💔

#Olauncher tip: you can rename applications in the all-applications drawer with an emoji at the beginning so tat they get sorted to the top of the list. That way you get six extra hand-picked launchers on a secondary screen from the main eight.

The application names aren't sorted, because the emojis are different, but you could probably use something like a bullet "•" instead so that the names remain sorted.

Nyt onkin mielenkiintoista kun @GrapheneOS alkaa rantautua ilmeisesti ensi vuonna Motorolan laitteille. Missä mittakaavassa ja millä tavalla on varmaan vielä auki, mutta mielenkiintoinen avaus yhtä kaikki.

#map nerds! I need to capture the geographic location of six points, both by coordinate and height. I think what I want is a #KML file with six placemarks - correct?

Can anyone recommend a simple #android app for this? Bonus points if #FOSS. To be honest, I don't want to learn all the principles of #GIS #mapping, I just want to generate the data needed to seek approval for this project (#Meshtastic repeaters in a far corner of the #NRQZ). 😊

I am excited to see that you announced an app a few weeks ago. I was wondering whether there are any plans to make your #Android app available without being dependent on the #playstore.

Of course a #FOSS app on @fdroid would be the best option!

I'm using a #googlefree smartphone and therefore unfortunately cannot try your app.

It begins. Google starts to roll out "Advanced Flow" for "unregistered apps" for "sideloading" aka installing applications on a device I own.

It appears that F-Droid will still be available after the 24 hour waiting process. Am I reading that correctly?
