This fine specimen is the result of installing #FydeOS on the tablet. I'm using #PartedMagic to figure out whether i can configure a 4G swapfile.

Since the STATE partition is the largest one, and likely akin to what other systems call the USERDATA partition, i'll look for an fstab there. I reckon, it might survive system updates.

A mediados de la década de 2010, una de las herramientas más populares en los sistemas operativos libres para sintonizar emisoras de audio en línea era Gradio, un software diseñado específicamente para el entorno de escritorio GNOME. Sin embargo, conforme avanzaban las actualizaciones del sistema, el código original de Gradio se volvió sumamente difícil de mantener y presentó fallas constantes en la reproducción de transmisiones digitales, lo que llevó a su desarrollador principal, Felix Häcker, a tomar la decisión de abandonar el proyecto en 2019 para iniciar un desarrollo totalmente limpio.

El resultado de ese cambio fue Shortwave, un reproductor moderno que utiliza la base de datos comunitaria de radio-browser.info para dar acceso gratuito a más de 40000 estaciones de radio de todo el mundo sin necesidad de registrarse. A diferencia de los programas antiguos, esta aplicación sintoniza las señales en tiempo real mediante un consumo mínimo de memoria RAM, organiza las emisoras automáticamente por país o idioma y cuenta con una función para grabar las canciones directamente del flujo de audio y guardarlas como archivos individuales en la computadora.

La interfaz de Shortwave destaca por adaptarse visualmente a cualquier tamaño de pantalla, permitiendo su uso tanto en computadoras de escritorio convencionales como en dispositivos móviles que funcionan con distribuciones Linux como PureOS o PostmarketOS. El desarrollo se mantiene de forma comunitaria y de código abierto bajo la licencia pública general de GNU, consolidando a este software como una de las opciones más eficientes para los usuarios que buscan escuchar programación radial digital mediante tecnologías libres y descentralizadas.
