Federated fine-tuning has a leak encryption alone doesn't fix: research on cross-client PII extraction shows models can memorize training data and later regurgitate it verbatim, even when every weight update was shipped fully encrypted. SMPC hides updates in transit, not memorization at rest. Roger Federated's train-time anonymiser swaps PII for consistent surrogates before any gradient is computed, so there's nothing to memorize.

If you're using and a service in order to get some , you may probably re-think and switch to a modern instead.

If you need further incentive for that step:

does generate a unique "Global Device ID" . This is not the bad news as all/most systems do have those (Linux: "man machine-id").

The issue at hand is that Microsoft is transmitting that GDID with many network transmissions of yours and you can't prevent that from happening.

Using that ID, the FBI identified bad guys that were using VPN for their felonies.

While catching really bad guys is always a plus, it also proved that your privacy is ignored while is maximized when your activities may always be tracked down to your unique Windows ID.

🚨 Tampa to vote on expanding number of ALPRs in the city

Tampa City Council is preparing for a second reading on a proposal to expand the RedSpeed school zone camera program from 6 to 18 schools citywide.

We're asking the constituents of the City of Tampa to tell their council members to vote NO on the ordinance which would expand the number and geographical footprint of RedSpeed cameras.

If you live in the Tampa Bay area, please share this around so that it hopefully gets in front of concerned residents of the City of Tampa.
