Même si j'ai encore pas mal de tests à faire, faut quand même bien avouer que le constat est hyper positif sur #CachyOS comme distribution de jeu. Je fais mes essais sur du matos avec de l'âge, avec des jeux parfois pas jeunes et déjà bien tricky à faire fonctionner sans problème sur Windows, et franchement tout fonctionne extrêmement bien, avec des performances vraiment très bonnes.

Alors oui, y a des réglages à faire, mais en vrai j'ai pas l'impression d'en faire spécialement plus que sur Windows, quand on passe par Heroic/Lutris/Steam tout est tellement automatisé maintenant qu'à l'usage y a pas plus de difficulté.

On Monday night there was a heavy rainfall, accompanied by an equally heavy wind... or maybe it was the wind that was heavy.

Anyway, that night I had fallen asleep on the floor. As the rain began, the wind drove it through my open window and I jolted awake, hastily shutting it.

I had forgotten about that rain. All it did was wake me harshly.

So today I `ssh`'d into my VPS and saw the familiar message:

'System restart required'

I ran `sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade`, waited for it to finish, and then typed:

`sudo reboot`

The VPS rebooted.

I typed:

* `sudo losetup -f --show /disk.img`
* `sudo cryptsetup open /dev/loop3 secdata`

Then I cheerfully picked up my notebook and flipped to the page where I had scribbled the passphrase.

That was when I remembered the rain on Monday night 😭

The rain had also reached the table where I left the note. The page was soaked. My passphrase was now nothing more than a smudge of black ink 💔

This was a ten-word-ish passphrase, mostly gibberish, with numbers and special characters sprinkled throughout.

Now I am staring at the:

`Enter passphrase for /secdata.img:`

prompt on my screen, and my heart aches.

Damn you, Rain of Monday Night!
