This post is NOT private! I am publishing for all to see (though only a small number of people will see it).
If I want to communicate details of something to a friend or a business client, I would use an encrypted messenger so that those details are not published for all to see.
Privacy is taking the steps limit the broadcast of information about your activities. No law can accomplish that. Only you.
Cars are trying to spy on you, and it's only just the beginning

Ah, the #BBC warns us that our cars are the new James Bond villains, collecting "trillions" of personal #data miles like it's the latest Olympic sport. 🚗💾 Meanwhile, we're still waiting for them to fix the #Bluetooth connection without a degree in rocket science. 🙄🔧

Location data sold by unregulated data brokers — precise enough to be weaponized against U.S. military personnel in the field. This isn't a theoretical threat model anymore. The data broker ecosystem creates attack surfaces that no firewall can patch. The question isn't technical. It's regulatory. #infosec #OSINT #privacy

Well, some of us did try to get the point across, but we were being called conspiracy theorists.
Google will only back up your texts to Google Drive (which is not encrypted).
So in essence you are taking your end to end encrypted chats, and backing them up to an un-encrypted state, where google (and anyone else who manages to get access to your google drive) can read all of them
boostedStop feeding the machine! ✊
Big AI profits from token bloat & subscription traps, hiding real utility behind opaque paywalls. Privacy shouldn't be a luxury you trade for convenience.
I’m fighting back with Searchbase v1.0.0: a sovereign, self-hosted search layer for LLMs. No ads, no tracking, just clean Markdown to stop token waste & reclaim autonomy. Open source & privacy-first, forever. 🏴☠️
Deploy it now: https://searchbase.md
#Websites have a new way to spy on visitors: Analyzing their #SSD activity
Telltale SSD activity can be measured in the #webbrowser using simple #JavaScript.
Sites have a new way to spy on their visitors: measuring subtle interactions with their solid-state drives. The technique, named FROST (fingerprinting remotely using OPFS-based SSD timing), allows sites to monitor other sites a visitor is viewing and what apps are open on their devices.
