Been using obtanium lately as I have a new device running Graphene without G services, and as much as I love F-Droid, it doesn't have everything in my catalogue.

I went to grab Obsidian and only just realized it's closed source. I always believed the contrary for some reason.

Zarówno w tutejszych dyskusjach, jak i w wiadomościach na blogowego maila, regularnie dopytujecie o jeden konkretny temat w kontekście codziennego używania telefonu. Doskonale o nim pamiętam.

Chodzi oczywiście o płatności zbliżeniowe NFC na GrapheneOS. Wiadomo, że po odcięciu usług Google standardowy Portfel nie zadziała, ale temat wcale nie jest z góry przegrany.

Nie będę jeszcze zdradzać, jakie dokładnie metody i obejścia wziąłem na warsztat, ale kompletny artykuł jest już w przygotowaniu i pojawi się niedługo. Bądźcie czujni.

Back to the topic of the new update, now the app looks really nice, except that the button label «Discover for yourself» is too close to the border of the screen, but that's more of a l10n issue. Here's another bug I encountered: the search doesn't work properly! I should report this to them, maybe I should also contribute to l10n of the app as well while I still have enough free time.

Found a cold-start bug worth admitting to: TrimPlayer's segment detection (intros/ads/outros) only fires reliably for a curated list of shows we pre-warm. Subscribe to something we haven't seen yet and a probe of the newest episodes turned up zero segments, zero intros skipped. Root cause: the prefetch queue ranks by 30-day active listeners, and right now we have a handful. Update on the cold-start gap I mentioned here: if nobody else on TrimPlayer was actively listening to a show you'd just subscribed to, the prefetch worker never got around to analyzing it, so no ad/intro skip on episode one. Shipped a fix 5 days ago that also warms shows sitting in your own queue, not just globally popular ones. Haven't re-run the honest before/after test yet to confirm it actually closes the gap - that's this week's job.
