Is it just me or recently is there strange and concerningly increasing love between #Google and #Apple?
1) Apple plans to use Google Gemini AI as backend for Siri failing to deliver “your data will stay on your device” Apple Intelligence promise?
2) Apple cooperate with Google to introduce authorised devices #captcha cutting off all other mobile OSes from big chunk of Internet?
3) As cherry on top Apple forcing upload ID or paycard allegedly as #UK law requirement?
Where is this law?
#privacy
It seems it’s time to seriously consider other alternatives like (or similar) to #GrapheneOS to get away from the big tech giants slowly closing jail around our right to free #Internet and our #privacy…
In the next few hours we will be releasing Midori 11.8.1 with improvements in stability, performance, ad blocker, VPN, all for our users.

Aside from the fact that this is why I do not get along with most blind leaders, because they beleive accessibility is different from intersectionality, how come every sociological and privacy and non accessibility point disabled critics of LLM companies talk about are ignored?
> For a blind person, the web is far too full of human-generated, inaccessible slop Artificial Intelligence, History, and Blindness: Lessons and Musings – Mosen At Large https://mosen.org/ai/ #AI #LLM #Disability #Privacy #Accessibility
Maybe better take a look at #pixelfed then?
@monnett looks like a VC grabbing scheme to me. One of their directors, Arnold Spruit, is also director of various #BlackRock #property funds.
Is this really about #privacy, or is it #eurowashing, i.e. riding on the wave of #digitalSovereignty? Why do they hide their source code?
And why are they in LU, which is well-known for lowest taxes of the #EU. Coincidence?
Maybe I'm too questioning. Sorry!
