I am routinely surprised how many people I know don't even think to open a web browser and try to do the thing they want to do.

They go straight for the app store or trustingly scan whatever QR code they find. There is not even a whiff of awareness or caution.

@Okuna @MxSpoon @mullvadnet @torproject @dw_innovation get , or better yet go somewhere as a public WiFi w/o registration and obfuscate your MAC so that worst-case there's nothing to point at you.

        • If you're extra clever, you can even plant some thingy in reach to act as a tunneling device to Reverse-SSH into!
          • Pretty shure that once investigators get a MAC for a Dreamcast or GameCube they gonna realize they won't find anything and move on.

              Disclosing users' email addresses

<forums.freebsd.org/posts/759432> wrongly states that all email addresses used on FreeBSD Bugzilla are public. It's upvoted, without fact-checking, by nine people.

The statement in Bugzilla is closer to the truth: "your email address will never be displayed to logged out users.".

<reddit.com/r/freebsd/comments/> observes that Bugzilla typically makes users' email addresses public, but not in Bugzilla.
