Znów grzebałem pod maską w swoim setupie na GrapheneOS. Wywaliłem systemowy aparat na rzecz jakości z Pixela, ale bez wpuszczania Google do telefonu.

Co dokładnie zrobiłem:

Pixel Camera build 68469120 – odcięta od internetu, ogólnie robi o wiele lepsze zdjęcia niż aparat GrapheneOS, bo w pełni wykorzystuje procesor, co widać też w nocy.

Gcam Services Provider photosonly – open sourceowy mostek od lukaspieper, dzięki któremu aparat działa stabilnie offline i płynnie współpracuje z zewnętrzną galerią.

Ente Photos – moja główna galeria i chmura z szyfrowaniem end to end, zamiast Google Photos.

Image Toolbox – narzędzie do usuwania metadanych. Zanim wyślę komuś zdjęcie, robię szybkie share z Ente przez Toolboxa, który w sekundę wycina z pliku GPS i EXIF.

Na dzisiaj koniec zmian i czas spać.

Reminder to donate to GrapheneOS while they're finalizing the update from Android 16 to Android 17.

Współczesny Big Tech zaszczepił w nas złudne przekonanie, że wygoda musi oznaczać całkowitą bezobsługowość – magię funkcji typu „włącz i zapomnij” (set-and-forget). Za tę bezobsługowość płacimy jednak bezpowrotną utratą kontroli. Wielkie korporacje agregują metadane, analizują nasz styl pisania, lokalizację i relacje między dokumentami, budując z tych puzzli naszego „cyfrowego bliźniaka” (digital twin). Handlują predykcją naszych zachowań, a my stajemy się produktem.

Na moim blogu ląduje właśnie szczegółowa analiza konfiguracji, którą nazywam „pragmatycznym puryzmem”. To opowieść o rygorystycznym okiełznaniu iOS: odcięciu iCloud, uciszeniu Siri, NextDNS na sterydach, kompletnym de-Google i sprowadzeniu klawiatury do roli prymitywnej maszyny do pisania.
