I've had such great performance and reliability from #GarudaLinux on my MacBooks that I purchased a new battery for each of them, making them fully-functional and portable once again!

Hardcase is light and portable, and the Retina display on Wolffe is just gorgeous.

Both of these were complete dogs on #macOS under Open Core Legacy Patcher, but on Garuda Linux, they fly.

Hey #Linux users, I'm running into an annoying issue where my system randomly just soft-locks, but only on Gentoo. It didn't do it on Debian-based systems or Arch-based systems for me. (What little I used of Fedora also didn't do it, but I'm not sure if I used in long enough.) It's a bad lock, but it's a soft-lock, so if I hold ctrl+alt+F3 or whatever for about two or three minutes, eventually I get to a console and can reset. The GUI never returns. The specific error seems to be "flip_done timed out" from amdgpu.

My searches so far have yielded claims that disabling variable framerate and adding KWIN_DRM_NO_AMS=1
and KWIN_DRM_NO_DIRECT_SCANOUT=1 stops the freezes and so far it seems to have done so, but I really want variable framerate back...

Again, only in Gentoo...
