• If this was the case, grsecurity & Red Hat would've already been sued into insolvency for violating GPLv2 for the Linux Kernel!
• You legally ain't a device manufacturrer / partner of Google.
  • Your entitlement to Source Code as per GPLv2 strictly pertains that of your devices bought and their firmware.

am I the only one annoyed by so frequent #GrapheneOS updates???

I am already pissed off one can not disable automatic download of updates, one can disable the updates app completely, but I would prefer to manually check for updates and review available update before downloading not to completely disable updates

then after applying updates it takes ages "optimizing apps" see this screenshot, only 8 optimized apps out of 35 and it has taken 19 minutes already and in the meantime the phone is very slow and overheated :(

@adbenitez I agree that if I let it define the update timing, it can be rather annoying. But (as mentioned in another post), I just ignore the reboot until I'm ready. So just make sure that the automatic reboot setting is turned off.

In times where it's trying to update in the late evenings, I usually ignore the reboot until sometime in the morning so I have full confidence that my morning alarm will go off.

So far, I haven't really had a bad update on Stable channel.

Hi.

I use @localsend between macOS and GrapheneOS. My Mac can detect my phone, but my phone cannot detect the Mac when @mullvadnet “Local network sharing” and Android’s “Block connections without VPN” are both enabled.

Disabling “Block connections without VPN” immediately fixes it. Is there a way to keep VPN lockdown enabled while allowing LocalSend to work over LAN?

I’m unable to install CoMaps from Codeberg using Obtainium on GrapheneOS.

Obtainium correctly detects `CoMaps-26080703-main-release.apk`, but the download repeatedly fails because the connection is interrupted. The repository URL and APK filter appear to be correct.

Is this a known issue with the Codeberg release download, or is a different Obtainium configuration required?

Używacie Obtainium z włączonym Mullvadem lub innym VPN i ciągle wyskakuje wam błąd "Too Many Requests"? To efekt uboczny współdzielonego IP, przez co błyskawicznie wyczerpuje się limit anonimowych zapytań do API GitHuba.

Da się to naprawić w minutę. Musicie tylko mieć lub założyć darmowe konto na GitHubie. Następnie wchodzicie tam w ustawienia konta, w sekcji Developer Settings otwieracie dokładnie zakładkę Tokens (classic) i generujecie nowy Personal Access Token. Co kluczowe, przy jego tworzeniu nie zaznaczacie absolutnie żadnych uprawnień. Taki pusty token wklejacie w ustawieniach dostawców w Obtainium. Wasz limit skacze z 60 do 5000 zapytań na godzinę i aktualizacje z powrotem śmigają bez zająknięcia.

So the Microslop apps Teams and Outlook stopped working suddenly on my #GrapheneOS phone two days ago out of the blue with an error message that the phone is not compatible because I have "root access" (which GrapheneOS prohibits). After some fruitless discussion with IT, I consider myself lucky to have found a solution in the forums:

There are alternatives to a dumbphone if required. A De-Googled mobile such as a #Pixel mobile running #GrapheneOS for example.
