I created #CastLab after coming back from holidays. I just wanted to cast my media to my TV and could not find a simple open source app for that, so I built one.

It has grown since: it supports #Kodi and the open source #FCast protocol. I was even surprised to see it also used to cast music to network speakers.

I will keep working on your feedback. Only on #FDroid, but it could be brought to #iOS if people are interested (through #AltStorePAL).

Rather stupid issue with #homeassistant. Selecting Media from menu, there is Web Browser as default audio output to "this device" . When radio browser is installed I can use e.g. my tablet as a radio.

But the browser has thousands of channels, and I want to listen just one. I tried to embed media player to dashboard with fixed stream url, but I can't select audio output to "this device".!?

I *could* pick any network speaker like of my security cameras. But not gonna huddle at backyard corner just to listen news before bedtime.

I installed Deutsia Radio from #fdroid

Meine Aktivität zum #digitalindependenceday heute: YouTube-App durch #NewPipe ersetzt. Keine Algorithmen, kein Tracking, keine automatischen Shorts. Denn auch das gehört zur #DigitaleSouveränität : selbstbestimmt Inhalte nutzen (ohne in den Dopamin Strudel endloser Vorschlagslisten zu geraten)
