I have my daughter’s 2015 MacBook Air with 8GB of RAM that scrolls continuously and refuses to boot from a USB drive with Linux Mint, no matter what keystrokes I try. Another MacBook Air of similar vintage was not a problem and Linux Mint is running beautifully on it.
