🎩 So you've decided to transform into Studios by bolting a GPU onto it, because nothing screams "productivity" like crossfading buffers and cursors. 🤡 Meanwhile, your sidekick is probably wondering if its life purpose is to help you reinvent the wheel—now with extra pixels! 🚀

    en.andros.dev/blog/4b707a03/ho

In Emacs, a common behavior that most users internalize into muscle memory is refreshing a buffer, typically with the key binding 'g'. While there are auto-update features for different modes that can minimize this, invariably "to be sure", you end up manually refreshing.

If you haven't heard of run-at-time in Emacs, now you know. Also included is a demo of using run-at-time to send yourself a future notification in macOS.

I'm working on an package that wraps shell tooling to run via / (e.g. toolbox-eglot, toolbox-shell, toolbox-compile) while keeping buffers local via TRAMP.

I’m considering adding minor mode that transparently redirects commands to their toolbox- equivalent. Not sure about the UX or implementation though: advicing feels hacky, pre-command-hook feels inconsistent (and also a CPU hog).

Started using ghostel in rather than vterm as a terminal backend for claude-code-ide.el and it seems great. Needed some minor configuration to have god-mode toggling properly, and the build of everything had one stumbling block (need the package from nixpkgs rather than the emacs-overlay as the former builds the native library).

I'm looking into integrating with and every other day there's so many new terms being thrown around that it's hard to keep track of (coding agent, AI harness, etc.).

I don't wish to use an agentic workflow where my files are directly modified by the LLM but rather a chat like approach (similar to how gptel works). Agent-shell seems to have a direct integration with opencode but then again, it's focused on agentic workflow.

Happy to hear suggestions and what others are using.
