In my ongoing pursuit of an AppleTV "alternative"...

Changed my installation, by going with KDE instead of GNOME. Installed a Chrome based browser instead of Firefox. Web Apps behave MUCH better, and the UI is better. Turned on "touch" setting in KDE which makes key UI elements larger. Slowed down the animation, and scrolling, which REALLY helps in both cases.

So far things seem to be running better, and the overall UI is better. Still requires a media keyboard.
