Drüben auf Lemmy gibt es gerade eine Zensurdebatte. In einer alternativen Oberfläche für die Fediverse-Anwendung Lemmy wurde eine Liste mit geblockten Instanzen, Usern und Stichworten gefunden, die wohl stillschweigend eingebaut wurde.

Today I tried building Principia on Haiku again and realised that it has been sitting broken since December last year, making its way into 2026.06.06 and subsequent releases. Dear Imgui also had a GL-related issue running on Haiku making it crash now that we always use it for dialogs now.

This has all been fixed now, and when building from latest master Principia runs on Haiku again!

Principia's Haiku support dates back several years by now, doing an initial porting effort sometime in late 2023. It's an interesting enough operating system, and SDL supports it very well, but there are always some issues that crop up after time when nobody gets around to building for it.

I remember that there would be random crashes with the old GTK dialogs on Haiku, which I never ended up looking into. Now we no longer use GTK, so this should not be an issue anymore.
