voidq.xyz is a Fediverse instance that uses the ActivityPub protocol. In other words, users at this host can communicate with people that use software like Mastodon, Pleroma, Friendica, etc. all around the world.

This server runs the snac software and there is no automatic sign-up process.

Prompted from the latest Canvas patch discussion, me and @minad worked on making canvas work in display margins. We wondered if it would work in the mode-line, and voila it does! Look at that looping magical thing in the mode-line. The best part is that none of this is memory intensive or laggy anymore :D

                                          Have you come across the variable parse-sexp-lookup-properties in ? Apparently one can attach syntax tables to text! I learned about this magic detail thanks to an issue in my Jinx spell checker package.

                                            Question for folks. I'm trying to set up my teaching slides in Org to be easier to export to a variety of formats for students. The documentation is really clear about how to add captions to images, and its working my test exports to .odt files. However, I'm having trouble finding info on how to add alt-text. I may just be missing it, but can anyone point me in the right direction?

                                              I use for prose analysis in for files and . I consider myself a competent writer that mostly appreciates flagging passive sentences (from command line utility that doesn't require an online service).

                                              New team uses , and write-good flags that word as a weasel word. Fair enough, but I don't want to see a slew of red lines. So I use to strip words in backtick quotes before write-good analysis.
